Just warning, I'm a first time blogger and I'm not the best writer in the world.. but that said, I thought it would be cool if I could share things about my life, kind of like a journal. I really wanted people to see how it is to be a Mormon in today's society. I wasn't always LDS (aka Mormon) (aka Latter Day Saint) so it gives me a unique perspective [:

My name is Claire Ross and I'm a Mormon. I'm engaged to be married in the Portland LDS temple to a wonderful man named Spencer Nelson.
Okay, now to the nitty gritty. I'm 19 (almost 20!) and I was baptized LDS 4 days after my 18th birthday and I've loved every minute of it. I had never heard of this church before, except of course for the episode of South Park about it, and still that didn't click for a while.
Needless to say it was very biased.
Well anyway-- You know about those random teenage guys who go around riding on bikes and knocking on doors asking, "Do you want to learn more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints?"

Well me, being the girl who can't say no, agreed to talk to these guys.. plus they were cute! [;
Well these two guys fought gallantly in trying to bring me the knowledge of the church. Every week they'd come over and face the craziness that is my two dogs.. and they'd leave with paw prints all over their night suits, but they never failed to show up..even if I was dressed a little inappropriately!
(For those of you who don't know, Mormons are extremely modest and usually don't wear clothes that show the cleavage or short shorts/skirts/dresses. I didn't get that memo for a while..)
